Founded in 2019, by a woman who has been obsessed with news since she was in the 6th grade. Growing up her biggest inspirations were the greats Barbara Walters, Diane Sawyer and Katie Couric. North of the border watching Lisa Laflamme, Peter Mansbridge and Lloyd Robertson during some of the biggest news stories in history. She learned early on that information meant clarity and understanding of a complicated situation. Nothing is black and white and with the news you can find the middle ground.

Launched while sitting at her desk, unmotivated and day dreaming about finding her passion she began texting her friends what was happening in the news every day.

The Quickie aims to find the middle ground every day on the biggest stories happening across Canada. We’re bringing clarity and understanding to an increasingly murky world.
